Fantaisiste des platines, créatif et initiateur d’un « mode » de faire du djing, aujourd’hui affirmé dans le monde ; professionnel depuis les premières années ’80, se distingue tout de suite par sa fantaisie, ses choix musicaux et sa technique.

Initialement Funky, Afro, Electronique et dans un deuxième temps New-wave, le portent, avec l’arrivée de la House, à développer son background dans plusieurs directions, devenant protagoniste, jusqu’au présent, à travers un grand nombre de clubs et d’expériences au tour du monde et produisant musique vinyle avec Interactive Test (Florence) premier label de musique électronique indépendante italienne (1990-1994) et JT Company (Milan) (1994-1999)

En Italie, il lie son nom, comme Dj-résident, à quelques clubs de Toscane, qui, grâce aussi à sa musique, deviendront importants : Club64, Imperiale, Bahia, Duplè after hour, INSOMNIA, Paradise, Jaiss, Torquemada, Taotec et joue dans les meilleures situations venues à se créer durant les années 90’ dans la péninsule Italienne, comme l’Exogroove, Le Sincopate, The West. En club à Rome, Florence, Turin, Gênes, Bologne, Riccione, Venise, Parme, une liste très longue…

Il est appelé dans quelques un des principaux clubs et évènements mondiaux, comme le Space et L’Amnesia à Ibiza, le Heaven à Londres et les party’s des Clueless System à Cambridge.
A Paris, dans les Raves de la Cosmos Factory au Mozinor et dans différents clubs.
A Tokyo il joue dans le légendaire after hour du Maniac Love ; à Bali au Terras.
En Suisse, outre les expériences avec le Dancefloor Syndroma et plusieurs Live en rave ou en club avec la radio légendaire Couleur3 ; il se produit dans des clubs de niveau européen comme le MAD et le D ! Club à Lausanne, le Labirinth à Zurich, etc….

En Croatie dans des clubs historiques comme le Colosseum et les party organisées par les amis Sanda et Alen Sforzina .

En 2007, un album de musique lounge-électronique en format files, précédé par un single en vinyle pour le marché des clubs sous le pseudonyme de PHOTOGRAM avec le musicien Andrea Melly, single qui a rejoint le 6ème rang des charts américains de la Balance, une des plus importants pour les dj ; le clip de l’un des morceaux du disque est sélectionné par la Video-TV Quoob Satellite et reçoit des consentements aussi par les critiques musicaux.
Il est au travail sur les musiques de recherches du compositeur français Michel Redolfi (Audionaute), l’un des invités de la Biennale de Venise, pour la ré-édition de concerts subaquatiques enregistrés par le légendaire musicien ; contenus, en particulier, dans le premier album Sonic Waters (1983-89), revisité en électro-house(www.redolfi-music.com) et à d’autres projets discographiques.

Avec le nouveau millénaire, les premières expériences comme dj aux Etats-Unis, où Sun Generation Records est suivie avec intérêt, mais aussi en Suisse, Croatie, Turquie, France, et en Italie dans quelques unes des meilleures locations ; alternant son djing non seulement dans les clubs mais aussi dans les lounge, des events au contact de la nature et pour Radio Proton à New-York dans le Balance Show.

MIKI 'aka' the Dolphin

His most appreciated skills are experimentation and avant-gardism embodied in a charismatic, magnetic personality.
A natural talent for mixing different sounds allowed Miki to be the ice-breaker of the Italian electronic revolution, which as born in Tuscany in the early 90s and then spread across the world. He was the first resident DJ of the after-hours (midnight – midday) held at the Club Imperiale and resident DJ at many of the cult clubs of the Italian Electronic-Techno scene: Duplé, Insomnia, Jaiss (both in the main room and in the upper floor privè Satellite). Co-founder of the after-hour “The West”, Miki played as guest DJ in almost every corner of the globe: from Ibiza to Tokyo, from the US to Indochina, from Switzerland to the UK, from Paris (where he has a devoted fan base) to Eastern European countries.
Today, Miki is guest DJ in several Italian clubs and works as a producer for his label Sun Generation Records - pool of talented DJs, composed music for other labels such as Takos Records, Evolution recordings - Audio Esperanto and some others .Miki’s also know as “the Dolphin”, a nickname of deep origins of which he never wanted to fully reveal the meaning.

Miki dj and producer, began playing records in 1978 at a club near home in Ferrara and won a contest for resident DJ at the Pink Panther Top Disco Studio, where he started his professional DJing initially on Sunday afternoons with Afro, Electronic, Disco and Funky, and then evenings with New Wave, Dark and British Dance music. His passion for the radio grew through his local radio stations (Radio Ferrara Centrale and Extasy FM Station) and he teamed up with his friend Andrea Melly as leaders of the group Photogram, with whom he performed live and produced his first two albums, Europe United and Beathouse.
His evergrowing experience brought him, along with the advent of house music, to ride the exploding club scene first at Bahia's Club and then at Club 64 on Elba Island. At the end of 1990 he held the residency of the 12-hour sessions at Club Imperiale in Tirrenia and the hype for this phenomenal DJ was strong, both for the novelty of after-hours and for the rave music that rapidly starts gathering large crowds.
Looking for suitable partners to share the ride, he found two that are on his same wavelength: Francesco Farfa and Roby J. At about the same time they invited him to a party in Paris held by L'Express magazine's music journalist, Luc Bertagnol. In a short space of time Miki, Francesco and Roby were sharing nights at legendary Ibiza clubs like Salinas, Space and Pacha, in Paris and in Italy at Imperiale with Mario Più, at Tartana, Tenax and many other venues.
Miki became resident DJ at the after-hour session at Duplé, a club in the North of Tuscany, with his friend Alessandro Tognetti and Roby J. In 1992, Antonio Velazquez invited Miki to spin on the turntables at Insomnia and in September he got residency of their Divine Stage with Francesco Farfa.
At the start of 1994, Miki left Insomnia at the peak of his success and started playing in a small club in Marinella di Sarzana which immediately became a "cult" club of the scene and where Miki met Alex Neri, resident DJ and son of the owner. During the same period, DJ-ing also took Miki to other foreign venues in Switzerland with Dario Mancini (Djaimin) and in France.
In September 1994, along with Stefano Bratti and vocalist Roberto Francesconi, Miki took up residency at the reknown club Jaiss, which he helped launch, and Fridays at Torquemada in Florence with Ricky Leroy, organized by Alessandro Bis and Max Innocenti.
With Raulo Giovannoni he kicked off The West, the legendary rave party that confirmed his musical career as DJ.
In 1995 he played in Japan and Indochina and his sound, labelled as Progressive, is at the time considered a movement associated to him, whereas Miki considered Progressive music to stem more from an interpretation of music during DJ sets rather than a musical genre in itself. Gabon called him to play and join the scene at Exogroove, one of the notorious events of the time.
1997 sees him on the turntables at the launch of Taotec and after a few months with Simone, the organizer from 585, they managed to bring Francesco Farfa back on the decks with Miki. Between 1995 and 1999 he was regular guest DJ at Amnesia in Ibiza and played at raves in France, Switzerland, Germany and the UK.
In 1999 he set up Sun Generation Records, a label that releases music on vynil and groups together a pool of DJs, musicians and artists from different countries. After years of productions for other labels like Joe T Vannelli's DBX with many successful records and Interactive Test by Francesco Falsini in Florence, Miki started dishing out vynil productions of Techno, Trance, Experimental and Electronica in synergy with jazz and house musicians met during his time in Satellite, on the top floor of Jaiss, where he rediscovered Underground DJ-sets. He took Satellite to other locations, with Daniele Papini and then with Croatian Dj Alen Sforzina, who joins Sun Generation as sound engineer and producer.
Those years were entirely dedicated to the Underground scene with rare appearances at important clubs like D!Club in Switzerland during the time of Tony D'a (Attitude Nocturne) with Lucian n Luciano and at Goa in Rome, and in the US and France where together with friend and DJ Jean Charles Sonic he reproduced Satellite in Paris at the OPA in Rue de Bastille and in Veneto with his friend DJ Torres. In 2005 Stefano Noto asked him as regular guest at club Frau Marleen in Torre del Lago, and Miki rediscoverd the taste for club nights and club music, working with Gianni "The Saint", Metempsicosi at Re:flex, QClub in Genoa, Kursaal in Lignano, Daniele PN, Max Innocenti, Miki Talarico, PlayStar, Pierluigi Bizzari amongst many others. He was also guest appearnace at other important events throughout Italy, continuing to regale the crowds with great sets and vibes, sharing his contagious passion for clubbing and his unique style, his DJing in constant evolution.
In 2009 the record label Audio Esperanto released Miki the Dolphin Allow My Future, a cult track for many and on the same year with the new Sun Generation Digital the record Miki the Dolphin Sigillum, created with the collaboration of Sonartek, and Djs like Richie Hawtin and Magda and other records on labels like Evolution Rec and Takos. In 2007 Miki started his own events with friend Manuel Fabbri, "Party In Chianti", parties where many different Djs from Italy and abroad are invited to share their passion for music, creating a periodical Tuscan event that still takes place in different magical venues on the Tuscan hills.

Miki's exploration of the electronic musical scene dates back to 1990 in the legendary after-hour of Club Imperiale (Tirrenia-Italy). His musical genre undertook a major change by moving from the electronic avant-garde and the oriented techno-house and many people love and find interest in it. Pondered like a "headliner" of the italian school, he has a great number of experiences in some important consolles, clubs and events around the world from the 90's (Amnesia\Space\Pacha\Heaven\Locomotive\Maniac Love(Tokyo) and many others. He has linked his name as resident dj to some cult clubs of Italy (Insomnia\Jaiss\Taotec\Satellite\The West\Duple' etc etc..) and played in an incredible number of clubs and discoteques; with his friends Francesco Farfa and Roby J he has opened new windows on the djing concepts, in particular in France, in the mithological rave age consolle of Mozinor in Paris, considered today one of the most important places in house-music history. In 1999, after about 10 years of productions for Interactive Test, DBX records, Pinnacle U.K. labels where he has always represented the avant-garde, he started to produce directly his music too, discovering new talents like: Sonar "aka" Niki B. and Christian E.F.F.E. and producing Sainkho rmx, Taguro, Everywoman, Andrea Melly and others on Sun Generation Records. Today the label is available in the best vinyl world markets and shops and receives excellent feedbacks from press and web sites of music for its intuitions and "more directories club music" productions N ow Miki is djing free-lance with some new partners and events in particular like regular guest dj at Frau Marleen (South-Versilia coast) in Italy.
